LOVING THE VEGETABLE GARDEN
The picture above is most of my vegetable garden, Ive added about 40 Roma Tomato Plants and 10 more Mutil Pepper Plants, and about 7 jalepeno plants. Also in the back I have about 1000 square feet of watermelon and cantalope planted. I till the area about 10 feet from the hills of watermelon seed, and then put cardboard or newspaper down with straw on top. I learned to this from The Vegetable gardeners bible by Edward C. Smith. I recommend this book to any gardener. The bottom picture is my potatoes. Potatoes grow so much better with marigolds growing near them, called companion planting. Since doing this I have not seen any potato bugs, only lady bugs (which are good insects) on my plants. I planted these the first of March, so it won't be long now. If anyone reads this please send pictures of your garden. Ill be sending more. Oh I always try to grow 1 or 2 new things every year, and this year was eggplant in the 50 ft. greenhouse, and the other was broccoli this spring. So far they are both a success.
